Teal Linen-Viscose Jenny Overalls
I loved the Jenny Overalls so much the first time round, I just had to make some more!
After I made my first pair (here), I swiftly sourced more fabric from Like Sew Amazing to make a second pair. As soon as I laid eyes on the colour of this one I was sold. It’s a beautiful shade of teal which I can’t stop staring at!
I started this make while on holiday in Cornwall earlier this year. So it’s taken me a while to finish and take photos. But they were 80% finished in our Cornish cottage. I don’t know why they took me so long… life I suppose!
Again, I decided to crop the legs on these. Mostly out of my deep obsession with wearing a cropped trouser with an ankle boot. I feel like this style is taking it from being a summery make to something more appropriate for Autumn. Also I splashed out on some Boden ankle boots at the start of this year. Honestly guys, I spent a fortune on them… as I bought the same pair in all 3 colours…! The heart wants what the hearts wants ok! So I’m trying to get as much wear as possible out of them. There – totally justified that didn’t I?!
Since I’ve been back from holiday I’ve managed to lose a few pounds, so I now feel a bit like these are on the big side. Which is a shame – and a definite downside to slow sewing. So next time I make these overalls, I think I’ll size down.
So there we have it, another pair of my fav overalls in the world ever.
