Next on the agenda as far as events go for me, is my first time at The Knitting and Stitching Show.  This year it takes place at Alexandra Palace from 7^th to 11^th October.  Being relatively new to the world of sewing and dressmaking, I have never been to a Knitting and Stitching Show before – so this will be my first time!  I’ll be heading there this Saturday, 10th October 🙂

I’m really looking forward to rummaging through fabrics and chatting with lovely people (because let’s face it, sewing folk are all lovely!).  I am hoping to build up some more of my fabric stash, so I fully intend on stroking my way around the stalls!

Highlights for this show include lectures by winner of last year’s Great British Sewing Bee, Matt Chapple, a walkaway dress feature and crocheted fish from Kate Jenkins on display.  Can’t wait!

So amongst a muchness of mad packing at home for the dreaded house move, I haven’t been able to get up to much craftiness.  I know… very sad.  But excitement coming my way in the form of tickets to The Handmade Fair!

I will be winging it down to The Green at Hampton Court Palace with one of my crafty buddies on Saturday 19th September. We can’t wait!

We spent ages flicking through the amazing line-up in the Super Theatre,  as well as Grand Makes and Skills Workshops.  I want to do everything!

In the end we have opted for biscuit icing with The Biscuiteers, Annie Sloan‘s slot in the Super Theatre talking about her famous chalk paint and finally Jane Means‘ ric rac rose workshop.  I might just sleep under some bunting somewhere so I can stay for the whole weekend to do everything!  😉
